Profile: Donna M. Airoldi loves travel more than just about anything else and has visited nearly 50 countries—so far. After spending close to a year backpacking through Nepal and Southeast Asia more than a decade ago, she changed careers from marketing to journalism and has been covering business, travel and lifestyle topics ever since. She's currently the editor of TravelWorld International magazine (published by the North American Travel Journalists Association), a New York City reporter for HelloMetro.com and newsletter manager for the business publication Incentive, where she used to be the executive editor. She's also the founding editorial director for TravelMuse. Her work has appeared in Time Out New York, Travel & Leisure, Intelligent Travel, Successful Meetings, DNAinfo.com, Metro, and multiple other outlets. When she's not on the road, she enjoys the company of her husband and her cat in Brooklyn, N.Y., ideally along with a peaty single-malt Scotch whisky.
