Last month, the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) announced their 2009 Gold Adrian Award winners, representing the year’s best advertising, public relations and web marketing campaigns. Out of 1,100 entries, HSMAI awarded 37 advertising, 53 public relations and 33 web marketing gold awards.
These gold award winners are now finalists for the Platinum Adrian Awards, and for the ‘Best of Show’ – both to be announced at the Adrian Awards Gala on Feb. 1, 2010, at the New York Marriott Marquis. Here’s the full list of gold award winners, and listed below are the ones out of this list in each category who seem most likely to end up as the Best of Show.

If you want to know more about what kind of campaigns end up as the Best of Show, go through this case study of last year’s four BoS winners. If you want to bet on this year’s winners, put your money down on Vegas Bound and and Best Job in the World for Advertising, Keep America Meeting for Public Relations, and again Best Job in the World for Web Marketing.
Vegas Bound – Paid media negotiations secured 800+ million impressions and 50% earned media value; Generated over $3 million dollars in press coverage before current ‘Vegas Bound’ campaign even launched.
Keep America Meeting – Over 21,000 individuals signed the petition and it drew widespread support from people in all 50 states, and even around the world. The signatures were given to U.S. Travel Association and delivered to the Senate Commerce Committee.
Best Job in the World – Estimated media coverage is valued at over AUD$207 million. Reached an audience of approximately 5,000,000,000 through media coverage. Web stats of 8,001,900 visits (6,800,046 monthly unique visitors), 53,889,455 page views with an 8.25 minutes average time spent.
A couple more in the list are also impressive – likely candidates for the Platinum award, including Best Western’s Countdown to Savings by ISM and Elite Resorts’ Stock swap by Fran Pomerantz.

Thanks for your vote of confidence in our Adrian Award entry! However, Elite Island Resorts’ PR is managed by Sharon Pomerantz not Fran! Best of luck to all entrants!
Thanks for pointing that out, Sharon, and wish you luck.
